RadHaus is pleased to announce that CD copies of Saving Cecil's Pride are now available. All profits from sales of this album go directly to Big Life Foundation, a conservation organization working on the ground in Africa to protect wildlife.
During the holiday week, we had the opportunity to apply some more acoustical treatment to the new, smaller RadHaus studio space. This is not where we record (other than interviews and small/solo acts for broadcast), but is where we listen, mix, and post-produce. It's a unique little room, relatively small but with tall ceilings, so we needed to dampen the sound considerably. Using Primacoustic panels, we've largely succeeded. RadHaus was part of a fun short audiobook project not long ago, called The Motoko Files -- part fanfic, part music project, this was a collaboration inspired by the original project, itself inspired by the cyberpunk manga series "Ghost in the Shell". George Miler, an author and great friend of the studio (and co-producer of Saving Cecil's Pride), wrote a review of the project. We're humbled and honored. Thanks, George!
It's difficult to believe that six weeks have passed since we put out a call for tracks for Saving Cecil's Pride, but tomorrow is launch day--less than 24 hours from this writing--and the project has generated more music and more interest than we ever imagined possible.
